A Relics Cluster talk by curator Jan Graffius on Stonyhurst College's relics collection. All are welcome.
Jan Graffius has been Curator of Collections at Stonyhurst College since 2001, and before then worked in a variety of museums and galleries and for the National Trust. She has particular expertise in the preservation of relics and human remains, and has worked in El Salvador for the last ten years conserving the relics of Oscar Romero. She curates the extensive and significant collection of relics held at Stonyhurst College, which span 2000 years of Christian history. Her area of research is the spiritual, political and cultural impact of relics for English Catholics in the Early Modern era.
